Face-Freezing treatments are the latest in anti-wrinkle and acne treatments
The idea of freezing your skin in the name of beauty may seem strange, but this new technology that uses extremely cold temperatures is the hottest beauty trend in Europe. This proprietary Cold Therapy Technology is being used at Linage Dermatology for a super-powered signature facial. The Liquid Nitrogen Facial with Oxygen Treatment (Ni-Ox Facial) improves the appearance of wrinkles, tightens skin, improves pigmentation, and helps with acne blemishes.

This 30-minute facial treatment combines Liquid Nitrogen and medical grade Oxygen to exfoliate, rejuvenate, hydrate and stimulate cells for glowing and healthy skin. The cold from the liquid nitrogen gently exfoliates the dull, dead cells of the skin and stimulates regeneration of new skin cells from underneath.  The 100% pure medical-grade Oxygen heals damaged cells, kills bacteria, oxygenates skin cells, and stimulates cell regeneration.

I have heard of Fat-Freezing technology like Coolsculpting, is this the same technology?
The concept of removing excess fat and excess dead skin cells utilizing cold temperatures is the same. The actual treatment is significantly different though. Coolsculpting is a treatment for fat, which is much deeper. The Ni-Ox treatment is a treatment for skin, which is just on the surface. We also offer Coolsculpting as a non-invasive method to remove fat.

Will a Liquid Nitrogen with Oxygen Facial help my skin?:
The Liquid Nitrogen with Oxygen Facial uses pure liquid nitrogen to exfoliate dead skin cells and medical grade oxygen to stimulate the healing and regeneration process. This facial can improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, skin tone and texture. The Liquid Nitrogen facial can benefit all complexions and skin types, even the most sensitive, and can be performed on any part of the body.

The most commonly treated areas are:
• Face
• Hands
• Back
• Chest

Can I go out into the sun after having a Liquid Nitrogen with Oxygen Facial?
Sun exposure is never recommended! Sunscreen must be worn after the treatment as your skin will be little more sensitive to sun exposure. Broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen is necessary if you are going to be outdoors. For optimal protection, wear a hat.

How many treatments should I have and how often is it recommended?
Most clients do six treatments  2-4 weeks apart and then maintain by having a treatment performed every four to eight weeks which provides optimal results.

Who is the ideal candidate for a Ni-Ox Facial?
Individuals wanting to improve the overall quality of their complexion and correct specific skin conditions may be good candidates for a chemical peel. Patient looking for a more youthful and radiant complexion will benefit from this treatment. Also, patients with acne and acne scars will see improvement with the Ni-Ox Facial.
